In this course, students will examine the foundational question of the Christian faith: Why Jesus? Through an in-depth exploration of Jesus Christ’s life, teachings, death, and resurrection, we will uncover the profound significance of His identity and mission. This course will engage with the historical, theological, and personal aspects of Jesus, addressing key questions such as His divinity, His role as the Savior of humanity, and how His life fulfilled God’s plan of salvation. By examining both biblical and extra-biblical sources, students will gain insight into the compelling reasons why Jesus stands as the central figure of Christianity.

Students will explore the transformative impact of Jesus’ message on individuals, communities, and the world. Emphasis will be placed on understanding His teachings about love, grace, forgiveness, and eternal life. Through examining parables, miracles, and His interactions with others, we will explore how Jesus’ life continues to inspire and challenge millions around the globe. The course will also consider why Jesus’ death on the cross was necessary for redemption and how His resurrection provides hope for eternal life.

As part of the course, students will reflect on the relevance of Jesus in their own lives. How do His teachings shape our understanding of purpose, morality, and hope? What does it mean to follow Jesus today? By the end of the course, students will not only have a deeper understanding of why Jesus is central to the Christian faith but also be equipped to engage in thoughtful discussions about His significance, both historically and personally, for the modern world.
